Presenter: Herbert D. (Ley) Mills, IRS Stakeholder Liaison
Are you aware of the tax credits allowed small businesses under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act? Do you know the records you need for federal taxes and how to organize them? If you have a home office, what deductions are allowable for it? Ley Mills will answer these and related questions. Mr. Mills, currently an IRS Stakeholder Liaison, previously worked for the IRS 11 years as a Revenue Agent auditing self-employed, corporate and partnership tax returns, and 9 years as a Senior Tax Specialist. He also coordinated for 8 years a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, which helped 4,000-6,000 taxpayers annually, and he has conducted numerous tax-related workshops for small business owners. Mr. Mills will explain:
